Biography:
Andrea Zaldivar is the Clinical Coordinator of Diabetes Care for the Internal Medicine Associates (IMA) of Mount Sinai Medical Center of New York.

Ms. Zaldivar is an Adult Nurse Practitioner and Certified Diabetes Educator. She has worked treating and educating adults with diabetes for more than 12 years. Her specialty is dealing with the issues of diabetes in Latino populations. She has served as co –chair for the Center for Disease Control, Division of Diabetes Translation’s National Latino Expert Consulting Group (NLECG).

Ms. Zaldivar received her Master’s in Science degree from Columbia University. She is currently a doctoral student of Health Education at Teacher’s College at Columbia. She has co – authored various articles regarding diabetes education.

Ms. Zaldivar currently serves on the Board of Director’s of the American Diabetes Association.
